# Creating a post

You can create many different types of posts in lylac, and they all depend on the content you want to upload.

## What types of posts can you post?

1. **Collections**
2. **Images**
3. **Notes**

**Collections** allow you to group your posts in specific collections.

**Image posts**: Allow you to post an image.

**Notes** are for short and long form **text based content**. 

Use this when creating a piece of writing, such as a poem, short story, article, etc.

Text posts can also be great when you want to support your visual work with written dialogue, or when writing your personal statement.
