Child Safety Policy

Lylac's Child Safety Policy

Effective Date: 17th February 2025

1. Introduction

At Lylac, we prioritise the safety and well-being of all our users, especially children. We are committed to creating a secure environment free from child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). This policy outlines our standards and practices to protect children on our platform.

2. Zero-Tolerance Policy for CSAE

We enforce a strict zero-tolerance policy against any form of CSAE. Activities including the sharing, solicitation, or promotion of child sexual abuse material (CSAM) are strictly prohibited. Users engaging in such activities will face immediate account termination and will be reported to appropriate authorities.

3. Published Standards Against CSAE

Our commitment includes:

  • Prohibition of CSAM: Any content depicting or promoting CSAE is banned.

  • Prevention of Exploitation: Activities such as grooming, sextortion, or trafficking are not tolerated.

  • Legal Compliance: Adherence to all applicable child protection laws and regulations.

4. In-App Reporting Mechanism

We provide an accessible in-app feature for users to report concerns:

  • Reporting Process: Users can report inappropriate content or behavior by tapping the "Report" button available on each profile or content page.

  • Review Procedure: All reports are reviewed promptly by our dedicated safety team. Actions may include content removal, account suspension, or notifying law enforcement agencies.

5. Handling of CSAM

Upon detection or report of CSAM:

  • Immediate Action: Content is removed, and the user account is suspended.

  • Reporting: We report incidents to relevant authorities as required by law.

6. Compliance with Child Safety Laws

We comply with all applicable child safety laws, including but not limited to:

  • Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA): Ensuring parental consent for users under the age of 13.

  • General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR): Upholding data protection standards for users within the EU.

7. Designated Child Safety Contact

For any child safety concerns or inquiries, please contact us via email at info@lylacnetwork.com

8. User Education and Awareness

We are committed to educating our users about online safety:

  • Resources: Providing educational materials on recognizing and preventing CSAE.

  • Community Guidelines: Clear guidelines outlining acceptable behavior and content.

9. Regular Policy Review

This policy is reviewed regularly to ensure effectiveness and compliance with evolving laws and standards.
