As of 28th May 2025
We’ve just rolled out a new update focused on making Lylac feel smoother and more responsive — especially when it comes to how images load and display across the app.
You’ll notice faster load times when scrolling through profiles, collections, and posts. Images are now optimised to load more efficiently, meaning less waiting and more exploring. Whether you're showcasing your work or discovering new creatives, the app should now feel cleaner and more fluid to use.
These kinds of improvements might be subtle, but they’re all part of making sure Lylac feels like a space you genuinely enjoy spending time in. We’re constantly working to fine-tune the experience and make sure everything runs beautifully — even as more and more people join the platform.
As always, thank you for being part of the Lylac community. We can’t wait to share more updates with you soon
Faster loading times on images through the app
Redesigned user interface
Re-structured app format. Collections are now in the middle of the Navigation bar (at the bottom of the screen) to show their priority within the app.
All works now need to be posted within a collection. When posting a single piece of work such as an image or a note, users will now be prompted to select an already-created collection to post inside.
To post a single piece of work that is not a collection, click on the colletion you would like to post inside of and select the '+' icon, located in the middle of the menu bar. Alternatively, you can navigate to the 'Welcome to Collections' page (located in the middle of the navigation bar) and select the '+' icon at the top right of the screen.
